The Oath
From this day to my last, I am oathsworn to the battle. The battle is my brother, and my sister, and my lover.
Each morn I wake, I shall take my weapon to strike down my enemy. I will not faulter in courage. My hand will strike death and send the soul of mine enemy to the Underworld for safe keeping, til they be born anew and face me once more on the field of battle.
I am battlesworn and as I say it, I am sworn to it.
